Jr. Network Engineer · Automation Builder · Network Administrator
Boston, MA · Bridgewater State University · Expected May 2027
I'm a 21-year-old network engineer studying CyberSecurity at Bridgewater State University (graduating May 2027). Since October 2023 I've been the university's Network Apprentice — where I built BSU's automation infrastructure from scratch.
I write Python tools that talk to devices via APIs, automate ops tasks, and keep infrastructure documented in real time. The future of networking is programmability — and I'm building toward that right now.
Automated daily backups of Cisco IOS device configs. Runs diff checks to detect unauthorized changes and flags compliance drift — replacing a fully manual process.
Queries live devices using CDP and LLDP to automatically discover and document network topology — no manual diagramming required.
Devices, interfaces, management IPs, and roles are automatically kept in sync with NetBox. Eliminated stale inventory data across the campus network.
Generates rich HTML reports for config diffs, SPAN/rSPAN sessions, uptime verification, VLAN mismatches, power thresholds, and port-level error analysis.
I'm actively looking for opportunities — internships, co-ops, or full-time roles in network engineering or automation. I'm 21, driven, and already building production systems. If you're looking for someone who learns fast and ships real work, let's talk.
